Why Food Labels Still Leave Families Guessing

Most labels list ingredients, but they do not tell you what fits each person in your household.

Jargon Instead of Answers

Jargon Instead of Answers

Ingredient lists are packed with technical names, but they rarely tell you what those ingredients mean for daily shopping.

One Label, Many Needs

One Label, Many Needs

The same product has to work for parents, kids, allergies, and avoid-lists, but the label treats every shopper the same.

No Clear Next Step

No Clear Next Step

You still have to figure out what is a Match, what is not, and what needs a closer review before it reaches your cart.

IngrediCheck turns that label into a plain-English decision you can review.

Ingredient checker workflows

Choose the scanner guide that matches the label problem.

About
Sanket Patel
Sanket Patel

Because label reading
shouldn't feel like work for
families.

Why I built IngrediCheck for families like mine.

After 16 years as a software engineer at Microsoft, I wanted to build something more personal. Grocery shopping for our household often meant stopping in the aisle to decode labels, compare ingredients, and remember who needed what. It got exhausting fast.

IngrediCheck came out of that routine. You can save food notes for each person in plain language, scan a barcode or ingredient list, and see Match, Not a match, or Needs review with the why spelled out clearly.

Built with care alongside StudioSalt, IngrediCheck is designed to stay neutral, practical, and easy to use. My goal is simple: help families make food choices with less guesswork and more confidence.
